About the event

The aim of this beautiful & balanced workshop is to give you an understanding of the seven chakras and how they relate to your overall well-being, providing you with the tools to adapt your practice to your own specific energetic and emotional needs - leaving a random self-practice behind.

The 7 chakras - energy centres or vortexes according to the yogic beliefs - are part of the subtle [energy] body, a part of ourselves that we can’t touch or see. The effects of a chakra-based balanced practice can however be tangible with ripple effects on many areas of our lives.

In a way, the chakras are the design of our own self-care, and the yoga practice the tool or architect that helps us turn that design into reality

This workshop offers an immersive journey through the chakras, with an invitation to bring awareness to you own energies and needs. We’ll use asanas (the physical postures) to explore and connect to each chakra, with movement in between to open the body up. We’ll end the practice with a long, delicious guided meditation & relaxation.

You will leave the workshop more able to tap into the state of how you’re feeling and notice where specifically you feel unbalanced or blocked. With a deeper knowledge of each chakra you’ll be more comfortable to - at times of energetic or emotional unbalance - chose postures and a practice that works that specific chakra. Stimulating the chakra that’s blocked will help you to free up energy, which in turn may initiate that dreamy internal shift that yoga is known for.

This workshop is open to all levels of practitioner, with some physical ability as we’ll be moving as well as holding postures for longer periods of time. The use of props is encouraged and the studio has all the equipment you may need.
