About the event
It is a yogic belief that when the soul descends into a body, it has a reason for doing so. It is this purpose – this mission of the spirit – that is our individual and unique dharma. Without a clear purpose in life, how can the efforts we put so wholeheartedly into life lead us in the right direction?
In this workshop we'll explore our Dharma through different practices within and outside of yoga asana. It is an invitation to approach your practice from a place of compassion and curiosity, supporting you to take your practice off the mat and into the world. A reminder to live life in union and as part of one & all whilst landing in your own unqiue experience.
Yoga teaches us that all questions involving intuition or wisdom — and finding our dharma — are accessed from within. It's all there already. It can be challenging though, to hear the voice of intuition within the noise of this busy world, especially when our minds are busy too. In this workshop, we'll collectively move our mental energy into our heart centre, the place where our soul resides. This workshop will help you to ask the right questions and know where to look within yoga to begin to work on your own Dharma.
The aim is to widen our perspective on yoga to encompass not only our physical asana practice. Through self-enquiry, we'll use a gentle asana (posture) practice as well as pranayama (breathwork), yogic philosophy, guided visualisations and mediation to arrive at a place of calm and clarity. Spending a couple of hours floating in the space of our own inner reality.
This session is open to everyone.
